Who She Is
Pastor Onyinyechi Akor-Stephen was born in Owerri, Imo State, and is married to her husband Stephen. She holds a Master's Degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in Arts Education with a concentration in the English Language. Long before she stepped onto any stage, she was shaped in the hidden place, her voice consecrated through years of quiet faithfulness.
She is a deep worshipper, pastor, teacher and songwriter whose style and songs have influenced and inspired many around the world. Her music is characterized by deep expressions of her passion for God and the establishment of His kingdom and reign on earth as it is in heaven.
She is known to be one whose lifestyle exemplifies love based service to God and people.
Her journey is a remarkable testimony of faith, resilience, and survival in her work and service to God. She has always been a yielded vessel in gospel outreach, evangelism, and hospitality through song ministration. She currently ministers within the Assemblies of God, Nigeria. Her ministry journey has taught her humility, teamwork, and total dependence on God.
She is a born again child of God and has experienced God's mighty moves in her song ministrations. Since her early days of faithful service, her faith journey has grown through service and fellowship, and today she carries a mantle that reaches well beyond any single stage or sanctuary.
The Journey
The Beginning
Pastor Onyinyechi began her music ministry in the Christian Outreach Prayer Ministry (COPM) in Umuahia, where she passionately served and provided backing vocals in the church choir, faithful in a season few would see.
Promotion
Her consistency, anointing, and love for God's presence elevated her to the role of choir leader, where she began shaping the worship culture of her local assembly and mentoring other voices.
October 2020
She officially launched her first album, The Essence, a powerful collection of original worship compositions that marked her formal entry onto the gospel music stage and announced a voice the world needed to hear.
April 2022
She released the single Amazing Grace, a deeply personal and anointed reimagining of the timeless hymn, which further cemented her gift as a songwriter and worshipper of extraordinary depth.
Present
Today she continues to accept ministry invitations across churches, conferences, crusades, and special events, carrying the fire of God's presence wherever she goes.
